University-based MA training

Leslie Bunt teaches on the MA Music Therapy at the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE). A part-time 3-year MA has been validated by UWE and the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) enabling graduates to register as professional music therapists. The MA is based within the Health and Social Sciences Department which is part of the Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences.

Music therapists with holders of a previous Post-Graduate Diploma in Music Therapy are also able to apply to enrol on the two research-based modules to ‘Progress’ to the MA in Music Therapy. There are also opportunities for international colleagues to enrol on the MA Therapeutic Music Studies.

Training in Music Imagery (GIM)

The next Level 1 training in the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music will be part of a Continuing Professional Development module at the University of the West of England, Bristol. The course will take place between July 19 and 23 2017, preceded by an introductory day (July 6) and a day for presentations (July 28) for the 15 credit option.
